Marian and Matthias’ tandem is one refreshing team up that’s worth waiting for when “The Good Teacher” is finally shown on GMA 7.
Who says only Jennylyn Mercado can afford to have a younger and good looking leading man? Primetime Queen Marian Rivera will also be doing another teleserye soon on GMA with a new leading man.
From a hundred who took the auditions, a Filipino-American guy named Matthias Rhoads was finally chosen to become Marian’s new leading man in “The Good Teacher.” Matthias became popular on his own after the advertisement he made for a leading fast food chain went viral on the internet.
Matthias Rhoads originally auditioned for Jennylyn Mercado’s My Love From The Star, but since he couldn’t speak in Tagalog, the role eventually went to Gil Cuerva who was such a good choice for the role of an alien. But it had been said that Jennylyn [Mercado] and Direk Joyce Bernal were both really impressed with Matthias.
Thus, they recommended him for another role that will match his qualifications. So, when Marian needed a new leading man for her upcoming GMA teleserye, Matthias name was on the top of their list. And so, Marian Rivera has found herself a new leading man in Matthias.
