- Ratings wise, trending on Twitter, positive reviews on Social Media, “La Luna Sangre” is a sure fire hit!
On Monday (June 19) night, “La Luna Sangre” debuted strongly in its series premiere. Things weren’t as pretty for its rival show “My Loive From The Star” which only got far below ratings since its premiere.
AGB Nielsen – NUTAM (Urban only) data
ABS-CBN’s “La Luna Sangre” won by 2.8 points versus GMA Network’s “My Love From The Star.” “La Luna Sangre” pilot which was headlined by Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz got a rating of 11.5% while the Kapuso version of “My Love From The Star” only received a rating of 8.7%.
Kantar Media nationwide (Urban + Rural) data
Kapamilya fantaserye “La Luna Sangre” was also victorious on its pilot episode versus “My Love From The Star” based on the data released by Kantar Media on June 19. Viewers warmly welcomed the series into their homes as it reaped a national TV rating of 33.9% from combined urban and rural homes, more than double the rating of “My Love from the Star,” which got 13.8 %.
ABOUT: Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while the other ratings data supplier AGB Nielsen reportedly has only 2,000 homes based solely in urban areas that represent only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.
I think “La Luna Sangre” did about how most people expected it to, the best news to offer is that more tuned in for it than “My Love From The Star” and on average they stuck around. The news for “My Love From The Star” isn’t as good.
