- She may not have won FHM Philippines’ Sexiest for this year, but she have won the heart of GMA 7’s Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera. Kim Domingo was Marian Rivera’s personal choice to play her sister in a teleserye for the Kapuso network.
- Kim had lagged behind Nadine Lustre who had emerged as the number one among the 100 Sexiest Women’s list by FHM Philippines’ magazine.
- Kim said she’s very grateful to Marian for being her personal choice and giving her the opportunity to work with an actress of her caliber.
Kim Domingo and Marian Rivera will soon be playing as sisters in an upcoming primetime teleserye on the Kapuso Network. Kim may not have made it as FHM Philippines’ sexiest woman for the year, but she had always been on top of Marian’s personal choice for the said role.
“I’m very happy and thankful. Kasi nabanggit po ni Miss Marian na personal pick niya ako for the role,” said Kim. “In fact, nun’ng time na nag-story conference kami, pinigilan ko lang na maiyak that time. Kasi sobrang overwhelmed ako. Hindi ko expected,” she relates.
Kim had always wanted to work with Marian. It’s a part of her bucket list and she’s happy that she’s able to cross that out now.
How does she find Marian? “Mabait po siya. Of course, nandun po ‘yung kaba. Pero nung ina-acknowledge niya ako at sabi niya, ‘O, ayan, Kim, magkakasama na tayo, ganyan-ganyan.”
“Happy ako sa naging pag-uusap namin. Nag-thank you rin ako sa kanya nang personal,” adds Kim.
Kim will be playing the villain in the said teleserye. But she doesn’t really mind at all. As long as she’d be acting side by side with the likes of Marian, she’s challenged to improve her acting. “Ok naman po sa akin kahit anong trabaho as long as meron pong projects that are coming my way.”
“Magiging magkaaway po kami rito. Ang story po is magkakahiwalay kami noong bata pa kami. Akala niya ay patay na ako, pero meron pong kumupkop sa akin. May pagka-fantasy rin po ito,” Kim revealed.
Kim Domingo’s goal is to be in the industry for so long. She wanted to leave a legacy just like other celebrities who were able to do so. Her sexy image is her stepping stone towards that goal. “Gusto ko pong tumagal pa sa industriya. Gusto ko rin pong dumating ang time na matatawag akong aktres talaga.”
“May mga iba pong nagpapa-sexy dati na tumagal sa industriya. Siyempre, nangangarap din akong matulad sa kanila at tawaging aktres. Hindi naman po habang-buhay magpapa-sexy na lang ako.”
Kim sites former sexy stars turned serious actresses like Sylvia Sanchez, Jaclyn Jose and Diana Zubiri as her peg when it comes to her career path.
“I hope to be able to follow on their footsteps someday,” said Kim.
