  • Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla both felt sad when they learned about blockbuster movie director Cathy Garcia-Molina had resigned from their ABS-CBN teleserye “La Luna Sangre.”
  • Direk Cathy reportedly had no choice but to tender her resignation from the KathNiel TV series because it was ‘management’s decision.’
  • Molina was given the task recently to handle the star-studded powercast of Aga Muhlach’s comeback film, “Seven Sundays,” a family oriented movie featuring the likes of Dingdong Dantes, Ronaldo Valdez, Cristine Reyes and Enrique Gil.

Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina had recently resigned from “La Luna Sangre” even if the said series had just started to give more focus on “Seven Sundays.”

Her decision highly affected the staff and crew of “La Luna Sangre” especially the two leads, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

TV and blockbuster movie director Cathy Garcia-Molina recently resigned from the ABS-CBN TV series, “La Luna Sangre” to focus mainly on the family oriented film, “Seven Sundays.”

When lead stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo learned about Direk Cathy’s decision, they were highly affected and were deeply saddened about it.

“Seven Sundays” is the comeback vehicle for matinee idol and heartthrob Aga Muhlach. It promises to be a powerhouse cast with Dingdong Dantes, Ronaldo Valdez, Cristine Reyes and Enrique Gil.

Direk Cathy says, “It’s management’s decision. Sundalo lang tayo na kailangan sumunod.”

The management said that once Direk Cathy gets to finish the film, she might be allowed to go back to work on “La Luna Sangre.” But for now, direk Richard Arellano replaces Molina to shoot other scenes required for the said TV series, working hand in hand with direk GB Sampedro.

“La Luna Sangre’s” loss is Star Cinema’s gain. Direk Cathy is equally excited to handle this film because it’s also her first time to direct Aga Muhlach in a movie.
