TV and blockbuster movie director Cathy Garcia-Molina recently resigned from the ABS-CBN TV series, “La Luna Sangre” to focus mainly on the family oriented film, “Seven Sundays.”
When lead stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo learned about Direk Cathy’s decision, they were highly affected and were deeply saddened about it.
“Seven Sundays” is the comeback vehicle for matinee idol and heartthrob Aga Muhlach. It promises to be a powerhouse cast with Dingdong Dantes, Ronaldo Valdez, Cristine Reyes and Enrique Gil.
Direk Cathy says, “It’s management’s decision. Sundalo lang tayo na kailangan sumunod.”
The management said that once Direk Cathy gets to finish the film, she might be allowed to go back to work on “La Luna Sangre.” But for now, direk Richard Arellano replaces Molina to shoot other scenes required for the said TV series, working hand in hand with direk GB Sampedro.
“La Luna Sangre’s” loss is Star Cinema’s gain. Direk Cathy is equally excited to handle this film because it’s also her first time to direct Aga Muhlach in a movie.
