No one is immune from the internet trolls. They can easily multiply and take you down emotionally with just a few vicious and malicious comments. La Luna Sangre stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla understands this as they too have become victims before of bashing from netizens.
Thus, when they both recently had the chance to take a stand against cyberbullying, they grabbed the said opportunity to help others to become aware of the devastation it could bring.
Phenomenal Kapamilya love team and La Luna Sangre stars expressed their stand against cyberbullying recently. In a YouTube video entitled Stop Cyberbullying Day 2017 PSA, Kathryn and Daniel along with other foreign celebrities has joined the said advocacy campaign against online bullying.
“We know how it is to be bullied in cyberspace. It’s really depressing and sometimes, really painful. And so we say, stop cyberbullying,” Kathryn said.
The La Luna Sangre star also wrote on her Instagram post these words: “Social media has allowed the freedom of communication that Millenials now enjoy. But, in this same environment thrives lies, deception, abuse, and hostility. Let us stop abusing this freedom and be aware of the adverse effect of cyberbullying to individuals. Let us use digital space to connect rather than to disconnect.”
Daniel likewise shared the same message on his Instagram account: “We cannot remain quiet and simply tolerate bullies and bashers on cyberspace. We are taking a stand now—stop cyberbullying.”
