- GMA-7 finally aired the much-awaited kissing scene of Gil Cuerva and Jennylyn Mercado who play Matteo Do and Steffi Cheon in the Pinoy adaptation of “My Love from the Star”
- Gil revealed that he did a lot of preparations prior to his epic scene with the Ultimate Star.
- The newbie actor also assured to the show’s fans that they will be seeing more kissing scenes as “My Love from the Star” progresses.
“Ang laki ng pressure and honor at the same time na ang first kissing scene ko is kasama si Jennylyn,” actor Gil Cuerva revealed on his interview with “24 Oras” as his epic kissing scene with Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado in “My Love from the Star” was finally aired by GMA Network.
Gil and Jennelyn had a kissing scene in the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean series “My Love from the Star”.
The model turned actor said that the show’s fans should look forward to more kissing scenes by them. Gil also talked about the preparation he did prior to the kissing scene.
He revealed, “Toothbrush, mouthwash, huwag munang kumain. Kailangan gising, kailangan ready, kailangan fresh, kailangan guwapo. Ayun, nagpa-guwapo ako.”
It could be recalled that Gil admitted that he felt awkward when he filmed the kissing scene with the “Starstruck” almuna. He confessed that the scene where was goig to kiss Jennylyn was reshot nine times.
“Nahiya ako. Siyempre si Jennylyn ‘yun. Talagang nahiya ako, kinabahan ako. Hindi lang basta-basta yung ka-kissing scene ko, si Jennylyn. I think, a lot of nervousness came out and it took a lot of tries para lang mawala yun,” Gil admitted.
Despite feeling awkward with his first kiss with Jennylyn, the actor said there were lot of scenes which he found to be exciting. For example, the x-year-old shared a scene where fans of the Korean remake should watch: “‘Yung 15-second staring contest. Tignan natin kung sino ‘yung magfi-flinch, si Matteo ba or si Steffi.”
Meanwhile, Gil thanked the fans for the positive feedback on his acting. According to the actor, the comments play big role in his career because he is a newbie in show business industry.
