- Malacanang’s PCOO launches DDS Podcast
- Martin Andanar and Mocha Uson hosts one hour long tele-radyo program titled DDS Podcast.
Presidential Communications Office Secretary Martin Andanar and Assistant Secretary Margaux “Mocha” Uson have teamed up for an hour-long podcast named “DDS Podcast”.
Launched Sunday, June 4, the tele-radyo show produced by the Presidential Communications Operations Offices aimed at highlighting the activities and achievements of the Duterte administration.
In a post on their Facebook page, PCOO described the show as a program that will “give updates on Presidential engagements and other pronouncements and policies in the Executive Branch, as well as on the latest programs and activities of the PCOO. The hour-long program also features a radio drama entitled ‘Dulaang Duterte Special’, and a face-to-face chat with Filipino netizens from all over the globe.”
The podcast will be aired every Sunday morning at 9 am over PCOO and Radio TV Malacanang (RTVM) Facebook pages and will also be simulcast on the state-run radio station dzRB Radyo Ng Bayan.
The DDS Podcast came after a series of blunders from the PCOO office.
On May 20, Philippine News Agency (PNA) which falls under the supervision of PCOO has mistakenly reported UN countries stand on EJK which purportedly picked up from a fake news website. Another blunder was on May 27 when PNA uploaded a photo of Vietnam war on their article about the Marawi siege.
Meanwhile, just last week Andanar decided to decommission the PCOO’s Strategic Communication Department after RTVM inappropriately uploaded and stream the movie Logan on their Facebook page.
Mocha Uson was also heavily criticized for misleading people on her May 28 Facebook post about the Philippine Army which turned out to be soldiers from Honduras.
