Angel Locsin might have got a spinal injury but it did not hinder the Action-Drama Queen to do some stunts for “La Luna Sangre”.
During the press conference of the much-awaited teleserye, director Cathy Garcia-Molina revealed that Angel chose to do the the action scenes in “La Luna Sangre”. According to the director, Angel refused to let any stuntmen to do her scenes.
“Ang tigas-tigas ng ulo. ‘Ako na lang ‘yan, direk!’” she shared as she mimicked Angel. “Hindi, double na lang. Baka mawalan kami ng Angel Locsin!” she added.
Direk Cathy also elaborated, “Alam n’yo naman po si Angel, if she could do it, she really will. So, ‘yung action scenes niya, siya po ang gumawa.”
Angel then responded to emphasized that she was doing her job as an artist. Sha said, “Kung ang direktor ko nga po, ginagawa niya muna bago niya ipagawa sa artista niya, bakit ko po hindi gagawin ‘yung trabaho ko?”
Angel will be reprising her role as Lia with actor John Lloyd Cruz. Unlike her former onscreen partner Richard Gutierrez, who will be one of the series’ regular cast, Angel and John Lloyd’s participation in “La Luna Sangre” is limited to only one week.
Although Direk Cathy stressed that “La Luna Sangre” is a fantaserye, fans are open for the possibilities that the two big stars will participate in at some future episodes eventually.
Angel also acknowledged Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla as the series’ main cast. She said that she felt honored because the series is like a tribute to her, to John Lloyd, and to Piolo Pascual, who starred together with Angel in “Lobo”.
