Carlo Aquino finally broke his silence over his supposed feud with comedian Jason Francisco.
During the press visit for “The Better Half” in Antipolo, Rizal, the Kapamilya actor answered the rumor that he and Jason had a misunderstanding last year. Jason is the husband of “Magandang Buhay” host Melai Cantiveros. “Nakapag-usap naman kami ni Jason,” Carlo said.
Carlo and Melai became a love team in the hit morning series “We Will Survive”. It was speculated that his closeness with Melai onscreen triggered Jason to split with his wife. “Nag-usap lang kami. Lalaki naman kausap si Jason. Saka nagtatrabaho kami, so naiintindihan niya ‘yon,” he explained.

Carlo also stated that he understand what Jason might have felt during those time. “Kasi for the longest time, si Melai walang [ka-love team], so naiintindihan ko ‘yon. Ako din kapag ganoon,” he pointed out.
“The Better Half” actor was also asked if he got offended when he got involved in the said misunderstanding. He explained, “Hindi naman. Ako kasi wala naman (akong ginawang masama). Kaya nung sinabi sa akin na baka sakaling ma-cut short (ang ‘We Will Survive’) pero ‘di din nangyari. Nagtaka ako ‘bakit maka-cut short?’ Kasi may ganito, ganyan. Dapat yata makapag-usap kami ni Jason. ‘Yun, after mga ilang araw (tumawag siya).”
Carlo then stressed, “Saka may girlfriend ako. Six years na kami!” The actor also said he was just doing his job.
But for now, the actor is currently busy doing “The Better Half” which is now on its second season. The actor also thanked the press and the fans for supporting his afternoon series together with Shaina Magdayo, JC de Vera and Denise Laurel.
