Did Amy Forteza, mom of Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza, joined VanBie fans’ call to boycott “Meant to Be”?
The hit Kapuso kilig-serye aired its final episode on June 23, with Yuan — played by actor Ken Chan — became the ‘ka-Meant-to-Be’ of Billie, Barbie’s character.
Prior to the show’s final week, GMA Network had had a survey on whom among the JEYA Boys should win Billie’s heart. The survey eventually revealed Yuan and Ethan, played by Ivan Dorschner, as Billie’s top choices.
However, according to the article published by Abante, VanBie fans claimed that GMA-7 disregarded the result of the poll. Some even believed that Kapuso network had already had its fixed winner.
Towards the airing of “Meant to Be’s” final week, VanBie fans had changed their Instagram profile photo into a black poster that shrouded the word ‘boycott.’ The fans’ act was to intentionally boycott the show’s final episode.
On her Instagram account, mommy Amy posted 132 pure black photos with some of them captioned, “Read between the lines”.

Based on her previous post, mommy Amy wanted Billie to end up with Jai, played by newbie actor Addy Raj.
Thus, some netizens are asking: “Did mommy Amy boycotted her own daughter’s show?”
Well, AGB Nielsen has yet to release its rating for June 19. Let’s see if the boycott affected “Meant to Be”in the ratings game.
