Liza Soberano would be the next Mars Ravelo’s “Darna” as she had already accepted the role earlier this week.
This news made LizQuen fans ecstatic for their idol would be playing one of the most iconic roles in Philippine TV.
According to the comic writer’s family, this is how the character will be: “It was patterned to our mother. Yung pagiging super woman niya. Yung pagiging independent, strong willed and yet very loving and caring at Pinay na Pinay ang ugali.
“We should say na since na-witness namin ang paglikha ng aming ama kay Darna, mas pattern siya kay Superman”
On the other hand, viewers are also eyeing for possible antagonists.
There were names like Anne Curtis and Iza Calzado being considered.
Maricel Soriano might play Darna’s mother.
There is no doubt that the upcoming remake will be grand and worth the wait. It is set to be an entry for the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival.
