Award-winning actress Angelica Panganiban topbills her first “Ipaglaban Mo” episode as a battered wife who accidentally kills her husband this Saturday (July 1) as ABS-CBN’s hit legal drama kicks off its month-long third anniversary celebration.

In the episode titled “Bugbog” directed by Andoy Ranay, Angelica plays Claire, a woman physically and emotionally abused by her husband Dante (Wendell Ramos), who is addicted to gambling and alcohol. Despite being pregnant, she is continuously being beaten up by Dante until she realized that she already had enough. Is her situation enough to get her off the hook for killing her husband?

Aside from Angelica, catch Sylvia Sanchez and JC Santos in the story directed by Mervyn Brondial about a deaf and mute who witnessed a crime and despite doubts on his credibility, bravely stood his ground just to get the justice served.

Ellen Adarna and Miho Nishida portray make-up artists forced to work as sex workers in Malaysia in the episode under the direction Digo Ricio, while Yen Santos and Troy Montero topbill the story directed by Ludwig Peralta of a prodigal daughter who got detained and sexually abused by her foreign boyfriend.

Also joining the special anniversary episodes are Barbie Imperial and Alex Medina who topbill the case about a minor raped by her own half-brother. This episode is under the direction of Myla Ajero-Gaite.

Since “Ipaglaban Mo” premiered on ABS-CBN in 2014, the show has been consistently captivating viewers in its timeslot because of its timely and relevant stories that not only showcase good values, but also informs viewers of their legal rights.

“Ipaglaban Mo” further strengthened its commitment to serve by offering free legal consultations to the public with Atty. Jose and Jopet Sison every week in ABS-CBN’s Tulong Center located in ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City.

It has also received awards from the PMPC Star Awards for TV and Alta Media Icon Awards.

Don’t miss the anniversary month of the 3rd year of “Ipaglaban Mo” every Saturday after “It’s Showtime” on ABS-CBN. For more updates, follow @IpaglabanMoCh2 on Twitter; @IpaglabanMoABSCBN on Instagram, and like www.Facebook.com/IpaglabanMoABSCBN on Facebook.
