Angel Locsin has accepted her fate that she is no longer playing the role of “Darna.”
On Instagram, the Kapamilya actress aired her statements that might put closure the her journey as Pinay super heroine. She posted the photo of Liza holding the three “Darna” comic book.
She wrote in the caption: “These three comic books are very special to me. These were given to me way back when I was asked to play the role of Darna for me to get to know the super-heroine better. And for ten years, I kept these.”
The 32-year-old revealed that she kept the comic books for years. And as for Liza, Angel hopes that the newest Darna will pass it to her next successor just like the legendary white stone someday.
She said, “Now that we have a new Darna, I asked Tita Malou to give these to Liza as my gift hoping they can help her just as they helped me.
“And just like the stone of Darna, I’m hoping that she’ll pass this on to her next successor someday. I wish Liza the best of luck! I know she’ll do great.”
Angel ended her statement by showing her gratitude to ABS-CBN for showing their interest to her to portray the legendary superheroine.
She also thanked GMA Network, her former network who gave her one of the biggest breaks in her career through 2005 television series “Darna”. Moreover, she aired her gratitude to Ravelo family for giving her the chance.
She said, Sa huling pagkakataon, maraming salamat po sa pagmamahal kay Darna. Salamat po sa former (GMA) & present network ko (ABS-CBN) pati ang Ravelo family sa pagkakataon. Now it’s time to welcome our new Darna.”
