The Independent Critics, led by TC Candler, has released its list of candidates for its annual list of the most beautiful faces in the world.
Five of Kapamilya’s most-sought after actresses — Liza Soberano, Kathryn Bernardo, Nadine Lustre, Jessy Mendiola and Julia Barretto — were recently announced as the group’s candidates for the annual list.
However, the absence of Kapuso female celebrities in the list of candidates is noticable. Last year, only Rhian Ramos made it at the 52nd position.
Hence, one of the largest fandoms in the country, AlDub Nation, is pushing Maine Mendoza to be included in the TC Candler’s annual list.
The fandom has been nominating Maine through Twitter. Unfortunately, as of this writing, TC Candler has not confirmed whether the “Eat Bulaga” host was chosen as its candidate or not.
