Some of these actors may not be the most famous but they are definitely among the richest celebrities (they were born with it). Between endorsement deals, royalty payments, fat salaries, and a multitude of side hustles, these stars can very well sit on their couch at home yet would still afford a luxurious life.
Kris Aquino
She’s one of the richest celebrities in the local showbiz industry. Even if she’s not in showbiz, she can still live glamorously because of her family’s wealth. The youngest daughter of former President Corazon Aquino and Senator Benigno Aquino, her family is not only influential but affluent as well.
They own a hacienda in Tarlac and they have lots of real and commercial properties enough to provide them abundance. Kris has her own accomplishments as she’s made lots of money with her career. She is also an effective product endorser.
Heart Evangelista
Christened Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco (nee Escudero), Heart Evangelista belongs to the Ongapauco clan that owns and runs the successful restaurant Barrio Fiesta. She also reportedly owns a branch of Barrio Fiesta herself.
She was first discovered via a TV shampoo commercial after a talent agent spotted her while shopping at the mall with her sister. An alumna of Star Circle Batch 9, Heart also runs a foundation called Heart Can, dedicated to help children with respiratory diseases.
She is also a spokesperson for PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society). She’s an artist who’s had her own art exhibits and is married to Senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero.
Ellen Adarna
Yes, folks. Ellen is a motel heiress.
She doesn’t really need the money, what she probably needs is merely the public’s attention. Her family owns a chain of motels in Cebu. Her grandfather owns the famous Cebu travel destination called “Temple of Leah” inspired by the Greek mythology architecture and named after Ellen’s Lola Leah.
But Ellen had chosen to live independently after she had a tiff with her dad. Her natural charm eventually landed her in showbiz.
Maine Mendoza
Maine Mendoza may play like your regular girl on TV, but the Dubsmash Queen a.k.a. ‘Yaya Dub’ comes from a well-off family.
She lives in a spacious and glamorous mansion in Bulacan. Her parents have stable business which allows them to live extravagantly. Maine studied at De La Salle College of St. Benilde. She also had her internship at one of the five-star hotels in New York City.
Maine’s also one of the most sought-after endorsers in the country today which allowed her to earn millions of pesos. She had expanded her family business and owns several outlets of a famous food chain store.
Paul Jake Castillo
Paul Jake hails from Cebu whose family owns a pharmaceutical company with a brand of painkiller (a well-known product which Filipinos have used and trusted for years). He also owns a restaurant that features lechon from his native Cebu.
He married actress Kaye Abad whose family owns a subdivision in Cavite.
Derek Ramsay
Born and bred in England, Derek Ramsay was born to a British Father and a Filipina Mother. Derek’s dad used to be part of a security force of Britain and has worked as a detective-inspector of Scotland Yard.
His showbiz career kicked off in 2000s. He has also established his own electronic-security company here. His family owns multiple properties in Southern Luzon.
Mikee Cojuangco
A professional international equestrienne and an Olympic silver medalist, Mikee Cojuangco was truly born with the proverbial silver spoon on her mouth. You can’t afford such hobby and passion if you don’t have bucks to begin with.
Mikee is a cousin of Kris Aquino, from the wealthy Cojuangco clan. His Dad is Don Peping Cojuangco, brother of the late Cory Aquino.
Solenn Heusaff
The daughter of former French Marine who heads a service company in the petroleum industry, Solenn grew up in the country but educated in a European International School. Contrary to some beliefs, she speaks fluent Filipino because she grew up here.
She went to Paris to further study fashion design and makeup (she studied special effects prosthetics).
Solenn caught the public’s eyes when she joined the celebrity edition of Survivor Philippines. She married an Argentine guy named Nico Bolzico.
Denise Laurel
Her surname says it all. Yes, Denise comes from the Laurel clan, a politically known family.
Her late grandfather is no less than Salvador Laurel, the Vice President during Corazon Aquino’s administration and her late great grandfather Jose Laurel was the third president of the Philippines. Her Uncle Cocoy was also popular during his generation while fashion designer Rajo Laurel is her cousin.
She’s currently doing “The Better Half” on ABS-CBN with Carlo Aquino, Shaina Magdayao and JC De Vera.
Richard Yap
He was first noticed by the public in commercials where he played the Chinese chef for a fast food chain. But it was really when he played the character of ‘Papa Chen’ in the ABS-CBN telerserye, ‘My Binondo Girl’ (as the Chinese father of Kim Chiu) that he got recognition and became a household word.
Richard grew up in Cebu where his family was involved in businesses on rice, corn, shipping and lumber. He broke his traditional Chinese family’s heart when he married a Filipina. Away from the limelight, Richard is successfully working as a manager in an office furniture company. He also owns a chain of restaurants.
In 2012, he played the lead role opposite Jodi Sta. Maria in the hit telesere, ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ where his character ‘Sir Chief’ also became a by word to many Filipinos.
Sharon Cuneta
She is the daughter of the longest-serving mayor of Pasay City, the late Mayor Pablo Cuneta and Elaine Gamboa.
She is the most expensive and effective product endorser in the country. With a string of products, from fastfood chains, laundry soaps, shipping lines to feminine wash—Sharon’s got them covered. She’s reportedly worth around 600-800 Million pesos, owns 5 houses in exclusive villages and a dozen of “Hermes” bags worth 3 million pesos each.
Sharon also owns a residential project of six high-quality exclusive four-storey townhouses in Quezon City. Her family (along with husband Senator Francis Pangilinan) currently owns a three hectare farm called “Sweet Spring Country Farm” in Alfonso, Cavite.
Matteo Guidicelli
Gianmatteo Vittorio Fernan Guidicelli was born in Cebu City to an Itallian father, Gianluca Guidicelli and Glenna Fernan, a Filipina.
He is the grandson of the late Senator and Chief Justice Marcelo Fernan. Matteo’s dad is in manufacturing business. Before he was bitten by the acting bug, Matteo was pursuing a career in racing.
He started racing at a tender age of 11. He’s won numerous awards including a three-time winner as the Karter of the Year.
Matteo never thought he’d be interested in showbiz. But he dabbled into an acting workshop at the New York Academy. When he got back to the country, he took up theatre courses in Brent International School and started to participate in plays.
He also attended Columbia College in Chicago for two years to pursue Bachelor of Arts in performing arts (musical theatre).
