President Rodrigo Duterte is determined to seek justice from what ABS-CBN did to him during his campaign in the May elections last year.
He accused the network of failure to air his advertisement. The charges would serve as a black mark for them, according to Duterte, now that the broadcast franchise is lining up for renewal.
“Ngayong franchise ninyo, kumpiyansa kayo kasi ang franchise renewable this year. If you are in operation for 25 years, maganda ng record mo, no need for another franchise. But I’m telling you now, I will be filing charges of multiple syndicated estafa,” said Duterte on Friday at a housing event for the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police.
“Kawalaang hiyaan. Baga mo ug nawong. Ang kakapal ng mukha ninyo. P– ina kayo. L–. Kayo pa ang mayayaman, kami pa iyong mga pobreng pulitiko ang sasalsalin kayo,” he added.

Payback time
Previously, the President threatened the network of blocking its renewal for its franchise ends in 2020. He even directly slammed ABS-CBN Corporation Chairman Gabby Lopez.
“Gabby Lopez, I paid ABS-CBN P2,800,000. I was able to gather money in the last weeks of my candidacy, noong tumaas na ang rating ko… Tinanggap ninyo ang pera ko. You never bothered to show my propaganda,” he said.
“Pagkatapos ng election, kinalimutan ninyo eh. Hindi man lang ninyo sinauli ang pera. You did it to me, kay Romulo, kay Cayetano, kay Chiz Escudero, at marami pa,” Duterte added.
He even dropped Philippine Daily Inquirer’s name and lavishly attacked them during his speech too.
“Press freedom? Press freedom, kayo ang number on magnanakaw. Ayaw isauli ang propriedad. Press freedom? Kami? How about our freedom? We have our freedom of expression to express our anger. And that’s my ultimate constitutional right,” he said.
“You? You’re bullshit. Mukha kayong pera. Ang kakapal ng mukha n’yo, kayong taga-media. You want my sentiments? F– you,” he said and raised his middle finger.
