Raquel Pempengco, mother of Charice Pempengco, responded to latter’s bashers who have called the singer “laos, purdoy, at nakikitira.”
The apparent bashing started when the news of the singer’s breakup with 4-year girlfriend Alyssa Quijano made noise online on April 27.
Through her Facebook account, Raquel posted, “SA LAHAT PO NG SUMUSUBAYBAY SA ANAK KONG SI CHARICE… Huwag naman ninyo masyadong husgahan ang anak ko ayon lang sa nkikita nyo.
“LAOS, PURDOY, AT NAKIKITIRA. MGA HAKA HAKA LAMANG PERO WALANG KASIGURADUHAN.”
As an international singer, Raquel also reminded the bashers that Charice once brought honor to the Philippines. “SI CHARICE EH NAKA TATAK NA ANG PANGALAN NA NAGBIGAY KARANGALAN SA BANSANG PILIPINAS PARA SABIHAN NA LAOS.”
“KUNG DI MAN PO XA LUMALABAS SA ENTABLADO YUN EH SARILING CHOICES NYA,” she added.
Raquel continued, “MINSAN NA RING IBINIGAY SA ATIN ANG KASIYAHAN BILANG ISANG MAHUSAY NA MANG AAWIT DI LAMANG DITO KUNDI SA IBANG BANSA.”
She then asked the bashers to respect what Charice’s decision for her singing career. “KAYA BIGYAN NAMAN PO NATIN XA NG CHANCE PARA PAGBIGYAN NAMAN KUNG ANO ANG GUSTO NYA SA KANYANG PAG AWIT. RESPETO LAMANG PO BILANG PAG RESPETO NG IBANG LAHI SA kanya..”
In the end of her Facebook status, she gave Charice a touching message to show her support to the singer. She wrote, “CHARICE BASTA LAGI MONG TANDAAN NA ANDITO LANG AKO IN CASE NA KAYLANGAN MO KO…”
In 2013, Raquel and her daughter had a misunderstanding but reconciled after a year.
According to Pilipino Star Ngayon, Alyssa Quijano left their apartment with her things. The tabloid added that the singer has been staying to one of her fan’s house in Laguna.
Meanwhile, entertainment site PEP.ph asked Charice’s manager, Jed Velasco, about the news. Jed clarified that he and Charice have had no communication with each other lately. But Jed said that Charice once tried to quit showbiz.
On 24 March 2017, the 24-year-old was supposed to stage a concert titled “Charice: End of a Chapter Rock Concert”, but was eventually cancelled due to “personal reasons.”
Moreover, Charice used her social media account and stressed that she is tired and happy for what she have achieved in her career.
