As the new assistant secretary for social media of Presidential Communications Operation Office (PCOO), Mocha Uson’s main goal is to prevent the mainstream media to spread ‘fake news’.
Based on her Facebook post on May 10, the former sex blogger wrote that she would use her government position to give people ‘real news’ they would like to know.
She wrote: “Ang ating pong tututukan sa PCOO ay ang mailapit ang mga ordinaryong Pilipino sa pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Social Media.
“At ma-idiretso ang TAMANG BALITA sa ating kababayan sa pamamagitan ng SOCIAL MEDIA.”
Mocha also urged her fellow Die-hard Duterte Supporters (DDS) to help her strengthen the news in social media.
“Samahan po niyo ako mga kaDDS. Panahon na na hindi na tayo umasa sa mga MALING BALITA ng ilang mainstream media at ating palakasin ang SOCIAL MEDIA sa tulong niyo mga tunay na DDS.”
“DAHIL TAYO ANG MEDIA NI TATAY DIGONG.”
Prior to the 2016 Presidential Election, Mocha had expressed her extreme disapproval to any news organizations that had been airing the negative side of President Duterte. She even labeled mainstream media as “presstitutes.”
