Call him bias, but if Matteo Guidicelli had his way, he says girlfriend Sarah Geronimo should be the next actress to portray the challenging role of Filipina superhero, “Darna.”
Sarah has already said her piece about her being considered for the role. The Pop Star said she doesn’t have the guts and bravura to wear the sexy ‘Darna’ costume.
“Kung gusto na [Sarah], bakit po hindi?,” said Matteo when asked if he thinks the role suited her girlfriend to a T. “Siyempre naman, Susmarya,” he blurted with a laugh.
Sarah nixed rumor that she’s being considered for the said role. The singer said: “Hindi po totoo ‘yan. Popsters [her legion of fans] lang po ang may gusto niyan. Gusto ninyo bang Makita si Darna na naka jump-suit?”
Meanwhile, Matteo shares the good news that he’s almost done shooting the horror film The Ghost Bride opposite Kim Chiu. “We have no play date yet for the said film though. But we’re almost through,” said Matteo.
On the lighter note, Matteo is happy for the release of his new single called “Akala Ko” by Top Suzara. The song was inspired by his character on the box office film “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”
He’s bent on working with the release of his album in two months time. He also looks forward on staging a new concert this November. Matteo was last seen in #MatteoMadeinCebu.
