More viewers nationwide tuned in to the most-awaited wedding of Cardo (Coco Martin) and Alyanna (Yassi Pressman) in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” as the show beat the finale and premiere of its previous and new rival shows last Friday (May 19) and Monday (May 22) and kept its spot as the most watched program in the country.
The start of Cardo and Alyanna’s journey to forever last Friday (May 19) garnered a national TV rating of 36.6%, compared to the finale episode of GMA’s “Encantadia,” which only got 27%, according to Kantar Media.
The wedding ceremony continued and more thrilling scenes ensued in the action-series last Monday (May 22), drawing even more viewers and recorded a national TV rating of 41.1%, compared to the premiere of “Mulawin vs. Ravena” that only got 22.5%.
Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while the other ratings data supplier AGB Nielsen reportedly has 2,000 homes based in urban areas that represent only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.

Netizens also got hooked on the action-packed scenes in the Kapamilya series as its official hashtags #FPJAPKasal and #FPJAPSingilan became trending topics on Twitter and gained thousands of tweets.
Meanwhile, the battle between Cardo and Joaquin (Arjo Atayde) is far from over as the latter kidnapped Alyanna to seek revenge against Cardo by putting her life in danger. But Cardo will do everything to save his wife’s life and make his mortal enemy pay for all the sins he committed.
