Miss International Philippines Mariel de Leon might be skeptic about Mocha Uson’s appointment as the assistant secretary of Presidential Communications Operations Office, but the reigning Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters is willing to give the blogger a chance to prove herself.
In an article published by Philippine Daily Inquirer, Rachel shared her take on the controversial appointment of Mocha during the press conference held at Villa del Rey in the Camarines Sur Water Sports Complex.
She said, “Well, she hasn’t started yet. And so, I believe everyone should be given a chance. You cannot judge a book by its cover, (That is) something my parents taught me that is still in my mind.”
The beauty queen added that “we should trust in our President and trust that it’s he (who) knows what is best for our country.”
