- The post has received positive feedbacks from Aiza’s friends and followers.
She might be a vocal Duterte supporter, but this time, Youth Commission chair Aiza Seguerra has spoken up over the viral rape joke of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The president made a statement on May 26 about the soldiers who might be accused of commiting abusive acts under Martial Law, which he has declared in Mindanao this week due to the terror attack that has happened in Marawi City.

He also joked that if any of the soldiers were going to rape three women, he would personally take the responsibility for it.
His statement, in verbatim:
“If you go down, I go down. But for this martial law and the consequences of martial law and the ramifications of martial law, I and I alone would be responsible.
“Trabaho lang kayo. Ako na bahala. Ako na magpakulong sa inyo. Kapag naka-rape ka ng tatlo, aminin ko na akin ‘yun. ‘Pag nag-asawa ka ng pang-apat, bugbugin ka
“I’ll imprison you myself.”
Hence, on her Facebook account, the chairman of National Youth Commission has appealed to President Duterte to stop joking about rape. She wrote: “Presidente, tama na po ang rape jokes please.”
The post has been surprisingly receiving positive feedbacks from netizens.
It was not the firsy time that the president has made a joke about rape. Prior to 2016 Presidential Election, the former mayor of Davao City recalled a 1989 prison riot in which an Australian missionary was raped and killed by inmates.

President Duterte said that the victim was “beautiful” and as a former mayor of Davao City, where the riot took place, he said: “Pu*ang ina, sayang ito. Ang nagpasok sa isip ko, nirape nila, pinagpilahan nila doon. Nagalit ako kasi nirape? Oo, isa rin ‘yun . Pero napakaganda, dapat ang mayor muna ang mauna. Sayang!”
Meanwhile, Malacañan has yet to release its official statement regarding this new issue the president has been facing right now.
