Kris Aquino’s TV special finally aired on GMA Network on Sunday night (April 9) after it was rescheduled from supposed airing on March 26, still challenging “Gandang Gabi Vice” on late timeslot.
How did “Trip Ni Kris” and “Gandang Gabi Vice” fare based on TV ratings of data suppliers AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media?
AGB Nielsen. Based on overnight data recorded in National Urban Philippines (NUTAM) last April 9, “Trip Ni Kris” scored a 3.7% people rating. The show hosted by Kris Aquino aired from 10:30 pm to 12:20 am. On that night, ABS-CBN’s “Gandang Gabi Vice” (GGV) registered 4.2%. Vice Ganda’s late night talk show aired from 10:49 pm to 11:49 pm.
Kantar Media. Kris Aquino’s return on Philippine TV via GMA Network’s SNBO – “Trip Ni Kris” received low ratings despite domination Twitter Trending topics during it’s airing. In Urban Philippines, “Gandang Gabi Vice” scored a 17.1% household rating compared to “Trip Ni Kris’s” 6.1% and in Rural Philippines, “Gandang Gabi Vice” hit 9.1% while “Trip Ni Kris” only got 3.1%.
Meanwhile, in Mega Manila, “Gandang Gabi Vice” garnered 18.9% over “Trip Ni Kris’s” 8.4% and 32.7% of “Gandang Gabi Vice” versus 7.6% of “Trip Ni Kris” in Metro Manila.
Overall, “Gandang Gabi Vice” featuring ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ contestants scored 13.3% while “Sunday Night Box Office ‘Trip Ni Kris’” showcasing the popular spots in Nueva Ecija only got 4.7%.
