Who else knows the results of their own shows but the people within the network, right?
GMA Network consultant Suzette Doctolero received a lot of negative reactions when she tweeted that Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza’s first ever teleserye could be ending next month through an exchange of tweets with some members of AlDub Nation on April 20.
AGB Nielsen, Kantar Media: How did “Destined To be Yours” affected the primetime ratings game?
Doctolero replied to fans’ complaints about the story’s change of direction. She replied, “Yes pero di nag rate nun. Flop. Now, its rating. So pano mo explain?”
The heated exchange of tweets between fans and Doctolero started when Doctolero said, “To be honest abt it, the writing teams doing their best thats why its rating now unlike he first 3 weeks ata na flop. Now its good.”
When one fan questioned the story’s sudden focus to Thea Tolentino’s character, she reiterated, “Dati, na walang kontra, hindi siya nagrerate. O pano nyo ikakatwiran ngayon yan? Sa totoo tayo.”
When asked by another fan to further clarify her statement, she said, “Nagrerate now kasi may malinaw na conflict ang kwento at may kontrabida. Yes. Prangkahan. Di siya rate dati.”
In a thread f tweets where a fan posted “then tapusin na!” she replied, “Sa may.”
To be fair with Doctolero’s statements, AlDub’s first teleserye really started low especially on its first three weeks but is now gaining more viewers based on AGB Nielsen data. The latest data on April 19 shows “Destined To Be Yours” (10.3%) with 0.6% advantage versus “My Dear Heart” (9.7%).
First aired on February 27, “Destined To Be Yours” is currently in its eighth week of airing on GMA Telebabad.
