Sad news to Pianatics out there: Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach might not going to play the iconic role of Darna.
Abante Tonite had the chance to talk with Pia’s manager, Jonas Gaffud. According to the well-known tabloid, Jonas denied the rumor that Pia was one of Star Cinema’s choices to don the red-and-gold costume.
“Wala pa silang sinasabing projects na gagawin. Hindi naman ‘yung ‘Darna’… Kasi si Pia talaga ang ambassadress ng Ms. Universe, eh.” confirmed by Jonas.
He added, “Kami pa rin naman ni Pia ang may say eh, pero with the approval pa rin ng IMG.”
According to Jonas, Pia expressed her desire to try acting. But ABS-CBN didn’t talk about “Darna” with their team.
Meanwhile, on her previous interview, the Miss Universe ambassadress confirmed that she will not the lucky one who will swallow the legendary stone.
“Kahit sinasabi ng mga manonood na ako yung maging Darna pero hindi ako eh, thank you, pero mukang iba yung plano ng ABS-CBN,” she confirmed.
