Star Music has released a good news to the fans of Maymay Entrata. The Lucky Big Placer of “Pinoy Big Borther: Lucky 7” will release her debut album in May.
Recently, the 19-year-old signed an exclusive contract with Star Music for this endeavor.
“Masayang-masaya po. Hindi pa rin po nag-sink in sa utak ko pero napakasaya ko po na binigyan nila ako ng opportunity,” she said on her pat interview.
The album will contain her self-composed songs, several revivals and a collaboration song with her on-screen partner Edward Barber.
“High school po ako nu’ng nag-start akong mag-compose-compose and ‘yung mga matalik ko lang na kaibigan ang nakakaalam,” she shared.
But when did she discover her talent in singing? “‘Yung nakita ko ‘yung potential ko sa pagkanta ko, nagsimula nu’ng college. Kasi doon po nagsimula dahil choir po ako para sa scholarship ko sa Cagayan de Oro.”
When asked about the local artists she wants to collaborate with, Maymay replied, “Mr Gary Valenciano po, si Ms Yeng (Constantino), si KZ Tandingan and Ms Sarah Geronimo. Tapos mahilig rin ako sa Tagalog songs so gusto ko rin po sina Ms Vina Morales and Ma’am Zsa Zsa Padilla.”
Will Maymay be able to receive the coveted diamond certification for her album? Or will she manage to ace a platinum one? We will find out.
