Fans are looking forward to the reunion movie of the box office tandem of John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo. The two are currently filming “Dear Future Husband” three years after they’ve last worked together on a big-screen project together.
John Lloyd says they’ve needed a big adjustment because it’s been a while since he and Sarah had their last film. This is their reunion movie after they did You Changed My Life in 2009.
“Unang-una, wala this time around yung aming other partner in crime na si Direk Cathy [director of their previous films together]. This time, we’re working with Direk Ted Boborol. It’s a different experience and we really enjoyed the shoot.”
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement over their reunion film that it had once become a local trending topic on Twitter. “Sarah and I are happy that we’re able to grant their wish for us to do another film together.”
Fresh from his recent victory in the 15th Gawad Tanglaw Awards, where he was awarded with the Presidential Jury for Best Film Performance, John Lloyd says he’s equally excited to be working again with Sarah. “Madami nang nagbago sa aming dalawa since then. After three successful films, “A Very Special Love” in 2008, “You Changed My Life” (2009) and “It Takes A Man and A Woman in 2013, nag-mature na kami pareho ni Sarah,” he said.
Photos of Sarah and John Lloyd posing beside each other’s standee have also gone viral on social media. Yes, everyone’s really excited to see them together on the silver screen.
John Lloyd’s grateful for all the blessings coming his way. Aside from the latest movie with Sarah, he feels happy that his performance in his films Honor Thy Father, Hele Sa Hiwagang Hapis and Ang Babaeng Humayo have been commended.
“Sa panahon po ngayon, bibihira na ang nagbibigay ng panahon sa mga ginagawa natin, kaya masarap sadyain at puntahan ng personal ang mga pagkilala gaya nito [his Gawad Tanglaw award].”
“Alam nyo this is my last year in contract. Gusto kong masulit yung buong taon, gusto ko ma prioritize kung anumang project ang ipagkatiwala sa akin ng management,” ends John Lloyd.
