Actress Jessy Mendiola finally addressed the issues thrown by her bashers on social media. The issues were mostly about her alleged copying of Angel’s Instagram posts.
Netizens started to pit Jessy against Angel Locsin when the latter sported short hairdo due to hair damage. Coincidentally, Jessy also posted on Instagram an old photo of herself sporting short hair from two years ago.
The comparison didn’t stop there, as Angel and Jessy both posted their photo where they could be seen swimming.
Recently, Jessy even posted a photo of an ice cream where netizen seen it as a copycat of Angel’s “dirty ice cream” post on Instagram.
In an interview with PEP.ph and Cinema News on April 19, Jessy said she has not seen Angel’s Instagram post.
“‘Di ko naman talaga nakikita ‘yun, naka-block ako sa kanya, naka-block din siya sa akin. Tsaka bakit naman namin gagawin ‘yun?
“I’m sure kahit sa kanya, bakit n’ya gagawin ‘yun? No sense at all. I think people lang talaga na talagang nagsasabong lang,” she said.
The 24-year-old added that the bashing she and boyfriend Luis Manzando have been receiving has finally subsided.
The actress emphasized, “Actually, marami na’ng nagtatanggol sa’min ngayon. Kumbaga, ganu’n naman talaga eh.”
She further explained, “‘Pag may nangyari, ‘pagka may mga balita na bago, parang ang nangyayari, ngayon lang ‘yan. Pagkalipas ng panahon, mawawala din.”
Additionally, in a separate interview with Luis, PEP.ph asked the actor about the issue of his girlfriend with Angel Locsin.

Luis said, “Wala, sabi ko nga, hanggang Internet lang ‘yan. Kasi sinasabi ng mga tao, marami kaming bashers, pero lahat ng labas namin sa public place, wala pang nakakasabi nu’n sa mukha namin dahil hanggang internet lang kayo.”
Furthermore, Luis has message to all the bashers of him and Jessy: “They are what’s wrong with this world. Ang naghahanap ng mali, makakahanap ng mali. ‘Pag nag-post siya ng kulay na puti, hahanapan pa ‘yun ng mali. Kapag nag-post ng kahit ano pa, literal na kahit ano pa, ang taong naghahanap ng mali, maghahanap ng mali.”
