Bianca King recently confessed that she had always dreamed of being in a teleserye produced by ABS-CBN.
She’s one of the few actresses who’s able to jump from one network to another. Bianca has previously worked in GMA Network and then she went to TV5 before finally getting into the Kapamilya Network.
Not everyone was able to do that!
As a film major, Bianca knew how ABS-CBN does their teleserye—world-class television drama series that are internationally acclaimed. Unbeknownst to many that Bianca took up AB Digital Filmmaking at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde. In fact, she has directed a couple of music videos including the third single from the fourth album of the local band Hale and Frencheska Farr’s debut single “Today I’ll See The Sun.”
Now, Bianca’s excited to do her dream teleserye at the Kapamilya network. She’s one of the lead stars and the main antagonist in the afternoon series Pusong Ligaw which had its pilot airing yesterday.
Like a fish out of the water, Bianca has also expressed her fears, being in a new territory. “I really thought my time in showbiz is over. But I’m very thankful that the people behind the Star Creatives really went out to look for me for this project.
“Moving to ABS, to be completely honest, I was terrified. Takot na takot ako sa idea na finally tatapak ako dito, parang surreal nga siya. But mabilis na nawala agad ang takot ko because everyone made sure to make me feel at home right away.”
Bianca felt like everything she’s done in the past were back to zero. “So, parang nag-uumpisa ako ulit. Kasi parang my mindset nga was like maganda yung experience ko sa showbiz, ngayon it’s time to try something else,” she shares.
Bianca also admitted that she has never enjoyed her youth. During that time that she lost projects after her TV shows got axed, she really thought that was the end of her showbiz career. Instead of wallowing, she took the time to travel. She also started to blog where she would share her recipes online as well as chronicle her travels on her travel blog.
“A lot of the destinations I went to in that one year were all sponsored trips. I went to Europe, Bali, Korea, they were all because of my blog. I wrote for my blog and for publications as well. I also went hosting for corporate shows and live events,” shares Bianca.
Bianca says she’s really grateful that Pusong Ligaw was offered to her. “Honestly, parang yung feeling ko dati na kung makagawa ka ng show sa ABS, it’s such a huge milestone for an actor, because the way they do shows here is something else talaga.”
She thanks her co-stars, the guidance of her director, all the staff, who made her feel like she’s part of an entire family even when she’s just a newbie at ABS-CBN.
