It’s nice to know that former Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus 4th placer, Beauty Gonzalez, has been blessed to be given another chance to try her luck in showbiz— after giving birth to her first daughter to a non-showbiz guy.
For her ardent fans, the new ABS-CBN afternoon drama series Pusong Ligaw would be even more special, as this will be Beauty Gonzalez’ comeback to the television where she will be showing her acting prowess with actress Bianca King.
It will be recalled that Beauty’s biggest break before she got pregnant was being cast in the ABS-CBN hit primetime teleserye Dream Dad as Zanjoe Marudo’s leading lady. But her role there had to be cut short due to her untimely pregnancy. She also played a cameo role in the morning series “Ningning” before taking a hiatus from showbiz. Although she has appeared in major teleserye before, her roles were usually supporting ones.
Talking about how she feels to be back on the limelight, she quips, “Masaya, sobra. I know not everyone’s given this kind of opportunity to work again.” In an interview with ABS-CBN, Beauty found it touching that her ABS-CBN family never lost interest in her.
“A whole bunch of fans were persistent and everyone showed their love and support–it was overwhelming.”
Beauty is currently busy with her latest project which the network offered her and has become her biggest dramatic project to date, Pusong Ligaw, which will premiere today, April 24, on Kapamilya Gold.
“This is my first drama role. Dati I’d only imagine it, now I’m doing it. I’m so excited. So prayers do come true. Laki ng impact nito sa akin kasi I’ve been in the business for eight years already,” says Beauty who couldn’t believe her luck.
Is there something new that fans can expect from Beauty when we see her portray the meaty role of Teresa “Tessa/Terri” Magbanua on Pusong Ligaw?
“Siguro after giving birth, mas may hugot na (acting wise), may sense of maturity na. Kasi noon, bata pa, wala pang paki. Ngayon mas mature na,” she stressed.
Given with more matured and challenging roles to tackle and experiences in life, expect to see a different Beauty Gonzalez in Pusong Ligaw. Yes, she’s out to prove to everyone that she truly deserves to be given another chance in the showbiz industry. Beauty’s all set to show us what she’s got.
