People have left in confusion after the announcement of “Eat Bulaga!” that Nora Aunor will visit their show on Saturday, March 11.
Equally, “It’s Showtime” recently released a press release that Nora will going to be the main judge on the grand finals of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” (TnT) on the same date.
The Superstar had found her career in show business industry after winning TnT in 1968.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph on March 9 through phone call, Nora had made clear that she will be guesting “Eat Bulaga!” this Saturday.
The 63-year-old revealed that Senator Tito Sotto invited her to be their guest this on their show Saturday.
On Vice Ganda
In her most shocking revelation, the Superstar revealed that she has issues with comedian Vice Ganda.
PEP.ph then asked the actress-singer about the writings of some tabloids that she will be guesting “It’s Showtime”.
Instead of addressing the issue, Nora just gave the phone number of one of the executive producers of “It’s Showtime”—Peter Edward Dizon.
PEP.ph’s writer Mercy Lajarde sent an SMS to Peter to ask about the supposed guesting of Nora on their show, but he didn’t respond.
After a brief moment, Nora just phoned PEP.ph and said she was changing her mind. The actress said she will appear on “It’s Showtime” instead.
She said, “Ate Mercy, nabasa ko nga, nasulat na sa ilang diyaryo na ako ang main judge sa grand finals ng ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’.
“So, dyahe naman kung hindi ako sisipot, baka isipin ‘di ako professional at maging issue pa na nang-indian ako.”
She further stressed, “Tuloy na tayo sa ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan.’”
Nora said she will talk to Tito to explain the situation.
“Siguro naman maiintindihan ako ni Tito Sen,” she said.
Nora then asked PEP.ph’s writer to talk to Peter to confirm her appearance on “Tawag Ng Tanghalan”.
Nora withdraws on her guesting
Mercy phoned the business unit head of “It’s Showtime”, Railey Santiago, to clarify that Nora will stick to what they had announced on press release.
Railey eventually responded and said he will just talk to Peter. However, moments later, Railey sent an SMS and said Nora have withdrawn from her commitment on their show.
Meanwhile, the Superstar confirmed her withdrawal through an SMS that she sent to PEP.ph.
She wrote: “Oo. Nag-back out na talaga ako. Hindi ko kaya si Vice Ganda.”
She then sent a follow-up and elaborated, “Ate Mercy, nag-back out ako dahil hindi ko kaya si Vice Ganda.
PEP.ph then phoned Nora for clarification about Vice’s “pambabastos.” To which Nora responded, “‘Yung usual na ginagawa n’ya na magsasalita s’y pero may pinatatamaan.”
Nora then asked Mercy to tell Railey that she was apologetic about her sudden withdrawal from the show.
She also emphasized her willingness to appear on “It’s Showtime”.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda is yet to respond on Nora’s remarks.
