Sarah Geronimo is finally back… and no one can stop her now!
The Popstar Royalty confirmed in an interview that she is returning as one of the coached on “The Voice Teens.”
She expressed how excited she is to be back on the popular talent show.
“Para sa lahat ng mga aspiring singers na katulad ko, pinagdaanan ko din ‘yon, this is for them,” she told ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe.
Geronimo also said she doesn’t plan on minding her critics who doubt her credibility as a mentor.
She said, “Everybody is parang nag-scrutinize, ‘Si Sarah, kaya n’ya ba mag-coach?’ So medyo may, ‘Shucks kailangan ko’ng patunayan.’ Na-pressure din ako. Pero this time, ayoko’ng masyado ma-pressure doon. Hindi natin matatanggal ‘yon. Gusto ko, mag-focus sa talento talaga ng mga artists.”
The 28-year-old singer is one of the original mentors of the singing competition alongside with Lea Salonga, Bamboo Mañalac and Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.ap.
She took hiatus on “The Voice” last year to focus more on her personal growth as an artist. She was then replaced by the Mega Star Sharon Cuneta for its third season, “The Voice Kids.”
Moreover, teen edition of “The Voice,” which is the first in Asia, will be composed by the original panel of coaches with Cuneta, sans apl.de.ap.
