Last week, Piolo Pascual and his son Iñigo became a hot topic in social media. The video of them while kissing each other went viral and sparked debates among netizens.

At the press conference of “Northern Lights” which was co-produced by Star Cinema, Regal Films and Spring Films, Piolo Pascual answered the allegations of those who were putting malice to the viral video.
“Iniisip ko, how will I address that issue? Ano ba ang sasabihin ko? Paano ko ba sasagutin ‘yon?
“Kasi, puwede kang maging pikon, puwede kang maging defensive. But, you know what? At the end of the day, blessings ‘yung ganu’ng experience na habang nabubuhay ka pa, you get to experience that with your family, with your son, for that matter,” he said in front of press.
Piolo said he feels blessed because that’s the way he raised up by his parents.
“Wala akong sasabihin sa mga bashers. It’s a blessing na ginagawa sa akin ng anak ko ‘yun. Kasi, ganu’n ako pinalaki ng magulang ko.
“Natural ‘yun, eh. Ako, gustung-gusto ko talagang nilalambing ‘yung mga bata. Kasi, kapag lumaki na, eh hindi mo na puwedeng lambingin.”
He then stressed that he could also kiss his parents to their lips. He said, “Kasi, para sa akin, para gawin ng anak ko ‘yon sa akin, gagawin ko rin sa nanay ko ‘yun, gagawin ko rin sa tatay ko.
“Kasi, ang sarap pasayahin ng pakiramdam ng mga magulang mo!”
Iñigo as a son
The actor also claimed how matured Iñigo is.
“Mas mature pa nga sa akin ‘yung anak ko, eh. We never even talked about it.”
Piolo continued, “You know, one thing good about my son, he’s 19, turning 20, sobra ‘yung maturity niya.
“May mga bagay na pinag-uusapan namin and I don’t have to filter things anymore because he’s mature enough to understand.”
The 40-year-old star then recalled his experience with Iñigo when he was a kid.
He explained, “Dumaan si Iñigo sa gano’n na ‘pag hinahatid ko siya sa school before, ayaw niyang mag-kiss. Awkward.”
“But it’s because until now, I kiss my mom on the lips. Kasi, ganu’n ako pinalaki, eh. Kaming magkakapatid, nagki-kiss kami sa lips.
“And you cherish that moment, you treasure that moment that you get to be physical with your loved one,” he added.
In the end, Piolo revealed they are really affectionate to each other because that’s how they grew up as a person.
“Ganu’n namin siya pinalaki, eh. Ganu’n din ako pinalaki. So, ganu’n kami ka-affectionate sa isa’t isa.”
Some people just really want to put malice on Papa P. Dunno if they’re just self-righteous or they just feel insecure because they din’t experience what Papa P and Iñigo experienced. Baba-baba rin ng bundok ‘pag may time!
