Recently, Star Cinema announced that Angel Locsin’s portrayal for the role of Darna is cancelled. This drove netizens immediately to go to social media to suggest for her replacement.
And one of the names that netizens were suggesting is none other than the queen herself—Pia Wurtzbach, who was also a former ABS-CBN artist.
It could be recalled last January that she is willing to play the coveted role in case it was offered to her.
Pia also admitted it in response to her Twitter follower in January this year.
“YES! I would love to play the Filipina version of Superwoman! DARNA!” she wrote.
The 27-year-old beauty queen also said she has been preparing for her comeback in show business.
Meanwhile, Star Cinema has yet to announce on whom should be the next Darna.
