After leaving Love Radio, which became his home for almost 12 year, Papa Jack has finally found his new home.
At his Energy FM contract signing that was held on March 17, Papa J (real name: John Gemperle), his new DJ name, said he is happy now that he is now part of Energy FM’s growing family.
“Sa labing dalawang taon ko sa Love Radio… I thought I will last a lifetime kasi I just love doing what I do.
“It took me couple of months to look for job and then I realized I wasn’t looking for a job… I was looking for an employer. Naghananap pala ako ng amo, hindi pala ako naghahanap ng trabaho,” he said.
Papa J also emphasized that he loved his former bosses but he now happy with Energy FM.
“I work well with my former bosses. Minahal ko ang mga boss ko doon,” he stressed.
“I want to tell everyone na ‘yung pinagdaanan ko ng tatlong buwan na makahanap ng bagong istasyon, bagong amo, bagong katrabaho… na I’m very happy. Masayang-masaya po ako.”
Asked about what made him sign with Energy FM, the prominent DJ said, “Hindi ko rin alam.”
“I just thought na I love what I do and I have a feeling that Energy FM can provide the atmosphere of delivering my service, my passion,” he added.
The contract signing event also revealed his professionalism in his job. Papa J proudly said that his attendance during his Love Radio days was almost perfect.
“First 10 years of my career, hindi ako nag-absent more than 10 times. Kasama na d’yan ‘yung naoperahan ako, namatay ‘yung tatay ko, bumagyo man, I always went to work,” he revealed.
“First 10 years, walang sampu ang leave ko.”
Thus, his friends told him to go to a vacation after leaving Love Radio last year.
He may have changed his DJ name but people will surely feel astonishment as they will hear a familiar voice of Papa Jack J on 106.7 from 9pm to 1am.
