Talent manager and host Ogie Diaz has confirmed that his talent Liza Soberano is being considered by Star Cinema as the next Darna.
In an interview with the preporters, the 47-year-old revealed, “Isa siya sa mga choices.”
He also admitted he would definitely accept the role for Liza if in case the role was offered to her.
“Ito’ng “Darna”, superhero, maraming may gusto na gumanap pa ring Darna,” he said.
“Imagine-in mo ‘yung history ng mga gumanap na Darna, like si ate Vi (Vilma Santos), so kung si Liza ang mapipili for the role, siyempre tatangapin namin ‘yun.”
Meanwhile, Ogie shared he isn’t too keen in letting Liza join Binibining Pilipinas.
“Paano kung hindi siya manalo? Sa tingin ko, hindi niya na naman kailangang sumali sa Bb. Pilipinas dahil Liza Soberano na siya,” he said.
Ogie also stressed that Liza is quite busy to join the prestigious pageant.
He further explained, “At ang dami-dami n’yang raket, kaya hindi niya na mabibigyan ng oras yung training para sa Binibining Pilipinas.”
So far, Liza Soberano enjoys the success of her film with onscreen partner Enrique Gil, “My Ex and Whys”, which has grossed more than P341 million worldwide.
