TV host Kris Aquino revealed that she will return on television via new show to be aired at GMA Network. The former Kapamilya multimedia queen will release a one-time TV special titled “Trip ni Kris” slated for March 26 airing.
“Yes, bayad na, e. My producer already paid [GMA] network for the block time, so it will be on GMA, it’s called ‘Trip ni Kris’,” she revealed on a press conference on March 8.
The 46-year-old also announced that her program will air “immediately after ‘Kapuso [Mo], Jessica Soho.’”
“So, I think that’s about 10 o’clock. Sana wag mag-overtime si Jessica,” she quipped.
“Trip” is a two-hour travel special that will feature the unvisited wonders of Nueva Ecija.
The Queen of all Media then admitted that her show is a “one-shot deal.”
She explained, “Ang mahal kasi ng airtime deal sa [GMA Network].
“So ‘yung producer ko, I told her she should try it out first. And let’s see after what will happen after that.”
The new show will be pitted against ABS-CBN’s “Gandang Gabi Vice,” a talk show by phenomenal star Vice Ganda.
Aside from this, the former Kapamilya will also release a digital food-and-travel series soon.
“I have a 13-part digital series that I’m doing, which is branded entertainment for San Miguel Corporation powered by Petron; ‘Kris Adventures’.”
She then explained the inspiration of her new digital show.
“Ang inspiration, ‘Parts Unknown’ ni Anthony Bourdain; so I’m very excited about that also.”
Meanwhile, in a video posted by TV5 reporter MJ Marfori, Aquino said she will be meeting up with bosses of GMA next week. She also hopes that they will agree on a deal.
