Although she can no longer play the role of Darna, Angel Locsin is still excited for the lucky actress who will play the iconic superheroine in the future.
On March 20, the Kapamilya actress said in an interview that she fully supports whoever the next Darna is.
“I’m very excited for her and sinusuportahan ko siya 100 percent. Sana ay suporahan din natin kung gaano niyo ako sinuportahan ay ibigay natin sa kanya kasi naniniwala talaga ako sa kanya,” she said.
Angel added that there is someone who she wants to play Darna, although she didn’t elaborate.
“I’m very excited na i-announce ng ABS-CBN kung sino ang mapipiling Darna. I think matutuwa ang lahat. May pinipili sila, wala pang final. May bet ako at tingin ko siya mapipili.”
The 31-year-old also said that she is willing to help the new Darna.
“I can guide her. I can teach her,” she continued.
On the same day, Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos announced that Angel can no longer portray the iconic character because of her damaged spinal.
Still, we would like to see a cameo of Angel in “Darna”.
