Aiai delas Alas is will be filming another film with Star Cinema after she reconciled with the latter.
In an interview with entertainment site PEP.ph, the Kapuso comedienne expressed her gratitude to the movie outlet for giving her another chance to work with them again.
“‘Yon ang nagbigay sa akin ng pagkakataon na maging bida sa pelikula,” she stated.
She also explained that what happened between her and Star Cinema were just trials.
“Siyempre, hindi naman sa lahat ng pagkakataon, ang mga pamilya… minsan dumarating ang mga pagsubok sa inyo.
“So, noong na-survive namin ang pagsubok sa amin, okay na,” she said.
The 52-year-old comedienne’s last film with Star Cinema was “Past Tense” with Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
She further stressed the reason why she let Star Cinema choose the director for her.
She emphasized, “Kumbaga, parang iba naman na talaga.
“Kumbaga, ‘yung “Tanging Ina”, okay na ‘yan, tipikal na ‘yan na si Direk Wenn talaga.
“It’s a classic film from Direk Wenn, so ngayon iba naman,” she added.
The Concert Comedy Queen believes no one can replace the late director Wenn Deramas. She also acknowledged the director behind the success of her previous films.
Her films under Deramas have accumulated sales of more then P1.3 billion—from “Tanging Ina” in 2003 until “Sisterakas” in 2012.
Star Cinemas is yet to release the details on Delas Alas’ upcoming film. “But definitely, sinabi sa akin na April ang start ng shooting namin,” she said.
