- Mocha Uson threatened the public that she will resign as a board member of MTRCB.
- The controversial star cited ABS-CBN’s “The Better Half” and “Ipaglaban Mo” for airing ‘soft porn’ scenes, a term she coined to describe scenes with lewd acts.
- Malacañang didn’t inhibit her threat and said she is free to resign anytime.
Controversial sexy star Mocha Uson is free to leave her post as an MTRCB board member, Malacañang said on February 19.
In a video that circulated online over the weekend, Mocha, whose real name is Margaux Justiniano Uson, said she would resign as an MTRCB board member if she could not convince her fellow board members to stop television programs from airing ‘soft porn.’
Uson said she would be useless to the board if the “trashy” shows will prevail on television.
“Kung hahayaan ko lang pong magpatuloy ang mga basurang programang ito na ipinalalabas ng mga TV network para lang kumita sila, wala na po akong silbi dyan sa MTRCB,” she said.
She cited two ABS-CBN programs that aired these so-called “soft porns” on television. The first program was the afternoon series “The Better Half,” and the rape scene of a weekend documentary-series “Ipaglaban Mo.”
The sexy star want to remove the “Strong Parental Guidance” (SPG) rating from MTRCB because it was being used by TV networks as camouflage for their “soft porns”
She said, “Kahit anong gawin ko na magkaroon ng pagbabago sa MTRCB at sa mga palabas na programa, wala ring mangyayari, iisa lang ako sa board members.
Uson also confessed that there are some board members who are against her proposal.
“Trenta ang board members, ang iba pa roon ay mga nakaupo na rati pa sa rating administrasyon at may mga nakasanayan na po silang ginagawa roon. May mga iba roon na hindi sang-ayon sa pagbabago,” she revealed.
She then threaten to resign to her post voluntarily because “there are some people who are against the ‘change’ she is proposing”
Uson stressed, “Ngayon kung ayaw nila sa pagbabagong ito dahil sa may mga taong ayaw ng pagbabago, magre-resign po tayo, but I will still help and serve our country voluntarily.”
However, her statement revealed that she hasn’t had an appointment with MTRCB Chairman Rachel Arenas, the 34-year-old said: “I will bring this up to the chairman on Monday kung ano ang magiging feedback.”
Asked in a dzRB interview to comment on Uson’s statement, presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella said: “I’m not sure about… the issues involved. But if she feels that she needs to quit then she is free to do so.”
“But as far as I know, she still said that she would be continually supporting the president in whatever capacity that she has,” he added.
Uson, a die-hard Duterte supporter and a “proud Dutertard” was appointed as a board member of MTRCB last January. Her appointment raised some eyebrows due to her image of being filthy.
