After their controversial break-up, Daniel Matsunaga and Erich Gonzales finally met in a private meeting with Star Magic bosses on February 16.
Star Magic released a statement to ABS-CBN News confirming that Gonzalez and Matsunaga have met to discuss the issues involving their split. They also clarified that money was not the issue over the couple’s heartsore break-up.

“Nagharap kahapon sina Erich Gonzales at Daniel Matsunaga sa Star Magic office para pagusapan ang mga issues na may kinalaman sa kanilang hiwalayan. Naging maayos ang usapan nilang dalawa. Walang kinalaman ang pera o third party sa kanilang paghihiwalay. Pakiusap nina Erich at Daniel na huwag idamay ang kanilang pamilya sa issue. Hiling rin ng dalawa ang pag-unawa at pagkakataong maayos ng pribado ang kanilang relasyon. Maraming salamat po.”
Hours after the private meeting, Matsunaga and Gonzales flew to US to hold a show in California.
They were spotted at the NAIA Terminal 2 while waiting for their flight. Also, the photo of them together was uploaded on the Instagram account of Love Capulong, the handlers of the two actors.
Capulong hinted that the ex-couple is trying to patch things up.
She wrote in the caption: “A lot of things have been said these past two weeks, but with God’s grace, they are on the road to healing and finding peace. Have a safe trip guys! I love you both.”
The two also asked the private to give them a chance to patch things up privately.
