A book has been released to reach out women around the world with a message: “You’re not alone; never give up on your dreams!”
Launched in 27 January 2017 at Grand Opera Hotel, the book “Broken Mirror” will tell the story of Aurora. Written and published by Coylee Gamboa and Caelestis Productions respectively, the book will give us insight into a Chinese marriage and a life of a Filipina who strived hard to be a traditional Chinese wife.
The phenomenal launch, made us think: “Who is Aurora?”
Well, Aurora is a real person who was born in Northern Philippines in 1967. She was the only offspring of a Chinese immigrant and his Filipina mistress who died in a distressful fate.
Then, as she grew into a fine young woman, Aurora married a man from China. She then adopted the life of a typically traditional Chinese wife. However, Aurora has lots of murmured pains.
Moreover, Aurora inspired Gamboa to put her story on a book. Gamboa said, “This is a tell-all. The pain is so raw that it pains me to listen to [Aurora’s] story.”
The renowned editor emphasized that both genders will benefit from reading the book. “The book applies to abused women all over the world. Men should also buy the book to better understand woman,” she said.
“Broken Mirror” is largely an autobiography of Aurora. Also, the book will reveal her sufferings as a wife and as a woman. It is now available at the following Fullybooked branches: Alabang Town Center, BGC, Century Mall, Eastwood Mall, Greenbelt 5, Greenhills Promenade and SM Mall of Asia for a price of P500.
