Comedy Concert Queen Aiai delas Alas shared her relationship journey with her 23-year-old non-showbiz boyfriend Gerald Sibayan.
According to the Kapuso comedienne, Sibayan has never failed to treat her special when there’s an occasion.
“Consistent ‘yon, na every monthsary namin, may bulaklak ‘yon. Napakaimposible na wala.
“Talagang doon ako humahanga ako sa kanya, hindi niya nakakalimutan talaga,” said delas Alas.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Aiai proudly described how Sibayan would date her when their anniversary comes.
However, the 52-year-old comedy actress said that she will be celebrating Valentine’s Day at her home with Sibayan due to her joint concert with Kapamilya singers Ogie Alcasid and Erik Santos at Kia Theatre.
“Alam n’yang pagod ako (mula sa concert). Kaya sa bahay na lang,” she said.
Aiai added that she and her boyfriend postponed their wedding this year.
She said, “Parang gusto ko munang maging single.
“Kasi, di ba, two or three years ago ang divorce ko, pero ‘yong parang recognition dito sa Philippines, kakalabas lang last year.
“So, gusto ko tumagal naman ang pagiging single ko.”
Aiai was married to Jed Silang in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 2013. However, in just 23 days, they decided to part ways.
The process took so long that Philippine court has just recognized their divorce last year.
Asked if she was missing something to postponed her marriage with Sibayan, the comedienne said: “Wala naman, kasi pinapayagan naman niya ako at hindi naman ako palalabas,
“‘Yon lang feeling na single ako for a while kahit sa papel.
“Kasi hindi naman ako single, may boyfriend ako.
“Kahit sa papel lang, gusto ko naman manamnam na single ako nang mahabang panahon.”
