The press waited for Ara Mina to arrive at the press conference of Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa last January 16. They wanted to ask the actress personally for her rant on Instagram. Sadly, the actress didn’t show up.
Consequently, the press left with no choice but to ask the Kapuso executives instead. They asked the status of the actress who play the mother of LJ Reyes for their afternoon show.
GMA Network’s big bosses didn’t give direct answer. They advised the press to wait as they are still in the talks with Ara Mina.
Gina Alajar, the director of Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa, shared her thoughts about the issue.
According to her, she didn’t get a chance to read the now-deleted Instagram post of Ara Mina.
A week before the press conference, Ara Mina took to Instagram to share her dissatisfaction for an unnamed show.
Alajar stated that she has been thinking of re-shooting the show or to replace Ara Mina in case the actress quits.
“Maaapektuhan ang show ‘pag umalis siya. Kasi, ang dami na niyang nakunang eksena, eh,” the director explained.
“Kasi, in fairness to Ara, she’s very good. I’ve worked with her sa Tatlo Magkasalo ng Reyna Films, bagets pa siya noon. After that, she has proven herself as an actress. Ngayon ko lang siya nakatrabaho ulit after that and I would say na she has transformed herself into a good actress.”
The director clarified that she is in good terms with Ara Mina. “Wala kaming problema ni Ara. Minsan nga, napapaghintay ko siya nang matagal `pag ang call time niya, sa gabi. I would say sorry and she will say, ‘No, Ate Gina, it’s okay!’ She’s still bubbly. Mabait talaga si Ara. Meron lang siguro siyang hindi nagustuhan. But then, it seems na naayos naman yata nila sa production.”
Alajar admitted that Ara Mina might lost her enthusiasm for the show as it suffers a lot of delay.
Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable also said, “So, whatever that is, should be between production and the artist. Let’s wait na lang for it to be resolved. We will try to resolve it.”
Despite the controversy, Ara is still included in the trailer of Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa. The upcoming drama series of GMA Network is set to air on January 30.
