An article about Nadine Lustre is circulating around Twitterlandia.
The article, written by Alex Brosas, features some of the negative reactions from netizens towards Nadine. What’s even more surprising is its title—“Nadine Lustre, nagpaka-boldstar, nagpasilip ng pwet sa madlang pipol.”
Netizens, especially die-hard fans of Lustre, were quick to react.
Some Twitter users have criticized the tabloid media for sensationalizing Lustre’s photo, while others have defended the “Till I Met You” star.
Of course, there were also some users who have ridiculed the 23-year old actress. One user said that Lustre’s photo was nothing but a publicity to attract more viewers for the final episode of “`Till I Met You.”
The term “bold star” was coined by Filipino media in the late 80’s and throughout 90’s to describe a celebrity who’s not afraid or confident to show her naked body to the public. Thus, being bold. Since then, the term was linked to being a “porn star.”
Additionally, the contributing editor of Philstar named Irish Dizon cited and sarcastically explained the meaning of the word “bold.”
Nadine Lustre became a hot topic last week after her friend, Lauren Reid, took to Twitter to upload their photo while wearing only bikini.
