Sexy star and controversial blogger Mocha Uson shocked netizens after Communications Secretary Martin Andanar announced the lady’s inclusion as the latest board member of MTRCB.
In one of her Facebook posts, Uson revealed her first mission as a board member. According to Uson, she will convince her fellow board members to block the airing of soft porns (or scenes with suggestive theme) during prime time.
“Asahan n’yo po, my first mission is to not allow soft porn sa TV during primetime. Alam kong mahirap dahil isa lang po ako at madami ang board members ngunit pipilitin natin ma-convince ang board na hindi tama na ipalabas ito sa oras kung saan makakapanood ang bata,” she wrote.
In a GMA Network press conference, Lilybeth Rasonable, the network’s Senior Vice President for Entertainment, shared her thoughts about Uson’s proposed policy.
Rasonable is confident in the quality of Kapuso-produced teleseryes, and made an assurance to the public that the network follows the rules and regulations of MTRCB.
“Seriously, I am very confident with our teleseryes. Very confident din ako na even with sensitive topics, I have been very proud of our creative and production teams of GMA in drama, because they know how to deal with sensitive topics,” Rasonable said.
“Even like, you’ve seen My Husband’s Lover or The Rich Man’s Daughter we’ve done sexier dramas, yet never kaming nagkaroon ng isyu with the MTRCB. `Yan talaga, proud akong sabihin na wala kaming problema diyan, alam namin kung ano ang limit namin at kung paano siya gagamitin with taste na hindi makaka-offend sa mga televiewers.”
GMA Network has unveiled its upcoming shows this 2017. One if these is the romantic-comedy series Meant to Be, premiered last January 9.
