Netizens speculate that the TV5 actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith might sign up with GMA Network to work with Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo.
Rumors have it that Smith auditioned for a role of a “Mulawin” in the remake of GMA’s telefantasya “Mulawin vs. Ravena.”
After the remake of the Korean series “My Fair Lady” on 2015, which lasted for only three months, Smith was barely seen on the Kapatid network.
On 2016, Smith was commended in her participation in the AlDub film “Imagine You and Me.”
She also won the Best Actress trophy in Cinema One Originals Film Festival for her role in “Baka Bukas.”
Also, she became an occasional performer on ABS-CBN’s Sunday variety show ASAP.
Additionally, according to rumor, the revamp of TV5—where it decided to focus on sports rather than investing in acting projects—has led the young actress to changed her path.
However, Vidanes Celebrity Marketing, Smith’s talent management clarified the issue by posting on their Instagram account saying that “there is no truth to the gossip” and “Jasmine has not been to audition for anything yet.”
Meanwhile, GMA Network has yet to confirm the rumor.
Nevertheless, if the rumor proves to be true, Jasmine’s decision to transfer to GMA might give her more opportunity to improve her skills and become a well-known celebrity like her sister, Anne Curtis.
