Kapamilya afternoon drama surges to an all-time high, while newly launched teleserye fails to fly.
ABS-CBN afternoon drama “The Greatest Love” surged to an all-time high ratings as it climbed to the number 2 spot of the daytime ranking based on the latest AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey conducted January 9 – 11, 2017.
In a riveting episode Wednesday January 11, “The Greatest Love” managed to hook televiewers to get the 15.7% ratings and land on the number 2 spot of daytime rankings. It was only 1% shy from the daytime leader “Wowowin” which scored 16.7%.
The Sylvia Sanchez led afternoon drama also made social media wild as it topped local and worldwide Twitter trends. They even managed to surpass “Eat Bulaga!’s” 15.3% ratings which is only enough to get the number 3 position. “The Greatest Love’s” success also resonated to “Doble Kara” as it climbed to number 4 spot with 15% beating rival “Hahamakin Ang Lahat” with 13.1% at number 8.
While ABS-CBN took the momentum in daytime, newest Kapamilya primetime teleserye “A Love to Last” failed to deliver. The Bea Alonzo-Ian Veneracion led drama failed to win on their debut week as “Alyas Robinhood” continues to dominate the timeslot. “A Love To Last” debuted on Monday January 9 at number 6 with 17.8%, 3.8% short from “Alyas Robinhood’s” 21.6% at number 4.
“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” meanwhile, re-captured primetime leadership beating “Encantadia” 2-days in a row from Tuesday January 10 to Wednesday January 11. “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” which featured the trending death of Benny scored 25.4% and 25.7% respectively versues “Encantadia’s” 24.2% and 23.7% respectively.
