What is the real language of love?
How can we say that that is love?
We are in the society that has a vague definition of love. Contemporarily, we fight for fate and otherwise, we believe in destiny. However, how are we going to solve the problem if we are not happy about the process? Are we going to meet the product? Or let the destiny and fate work for it?
Director LA Madridejos has the power to draft the different stances on how Filipinos caged in the situation of being ‘hopeless romantic’. The point of view of family and having a commitment are something to be accountable in the conflict of romantic love.
I challenge Mr.Madridejos to be more realistic in dealing with the cinematography to add the perspective of this generation.
The storyline anticipates the holistic soul of Filipino women who look in the playful common denominator.
A Girl Full of Positivity
Barbie Forteza with her promising performance in the romantic-comedy teleserye “Meant To Be” of GMA Entertainment TV. We can see how she acts naturally in the perspective of being a strong woman who represents the life of being a workaholic for the sake of her family. She is in the character of Maria Belinda ‘Billie’ Bendiola that destiny and fate play a big factor in her life. As she continues to surpass the challenges of being a single and how to solve the economic status of her family. The love and insanity of the people around her contemplate the attitudes towards her viewpoint about loving a right time in a right place.
The pilot week sent a message to every viewer about being simple in life. The fact that we are dreaming high for our family and the hardship of perusing it is something that is not easy for everyone. ‘Billie’ is a symbol of Filipino values and how to slime in the middle of challenges in life. She is the stronghold of her family
The Big Four in the life of Billie’
The boys are the image of dreams we have and how are we going to achieve it.
The outlook of different cultures and attitudes of being a man is very admirable in their acting skills.
We came from a certain family or background that direct as who we are now. Likewise, to these four men that envision the real situation of being a man. In a cliché’ quotation, “we are a just victim of our own environment”.
These four charismas suite to their real personality.
Ken Chan as Yuan Lee
A man who is trying to be perfect just to please his father. The world is very chaotic for him. The standard of his dad is a big challenge for her to build his own identity. That is why he choose to be an ideal man.
Jak Roberto as Andres ‘Andoy’ Dela Cruz
A Filipino man who holds his dignity. Jak as an actor has an ability to make her viewers in his standpoint. His acting ability reflects how committed he is in his work. In terms of the character, ‘Andoy’ shows how Filipino men move in a girl in a gentle manner. The culture of being a Filipino or simply being a “simpakito” illuminates in his angelic or innocent character.
Ivan Dorschner as Ethan Spencer-Hughes
The conscience of the group.
The ideal man that girls dreaming off.
In the craft of art of acting, Ivan should improve how the way he delivers his lines. We cannot deny that he came from western country that affects his way of speaking. He can have the workshop and have some speaking engagement in ‘tagalog’ to practice him. His angelic face is commendable on the character that he portrays.
Addy Raj as Jai Patel
An Indian playboy that give the persona of being a ‘happy go lucky man’. He is good in acting his character that contemplates the relevance and reality of manhood. He stresses a person that put the core of happiness in the center of life. Addy is affecting in acting the character that he has. At some point, he is just being over acting. He just needs to control it and balance everything especially when he needs to be ‘presko’.
Hence, we are looking forward to the following episodes that surely put us on the pedestal of laugh and love.
Love is a choice… it’s matter of guts to live in.
