Breakout Child Star Awra Briguela got the judges’ attention in “Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids”, Saturday, January 8, when he appeared as Manny Pacquiao’s mom Dionesia on the show.
Awra, who stars in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” performed Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball,’ which is the song Mommy D performed during her guesting in Vice Ganda’s late night show “Gandang Gabi Vice” in April 2014.
Judges Sharon Cuneta, Gary Valenciano and Ogie Alcasid praised Awra for his performance.
“Alam ko talented ka, pero yung para gayahin mo ang isang tao katulad ni Mommy D, wala ako nararamdaman kung hindi excitement pa para sa mga darating pang linggo. Kasi, grabe! Kuhang-kuha mo siya. Kung entertainment value ang pag-uusapan, 150%,” commented by Sharon.
Ogie said, “Magaling, magaling. Grabe ka…tama nga yung entertainment value, sabay ka napapahanga tapos napapatawa mo ako.”
